Gardening

I am super excited to start my garden this year. I am going big! I container gardened last summer, which was fine for the small space I was in but this year I am devoting the entire side yard to our garden. This Spring there will be lots of prep work to do to actually make this work, but I am determined. I am debating doing raised beds rather than right in the ground.

I am starting everything from seeds, and a lot of the seeds are seeds from the actual veggies and fruits that I have purchased and saved the seeds from. I am saving egg cartons from our fresh eggs to start our seeds in. They are cardboard and can be planted right in the ground when it comes time to transplant them. This falls into my recycling and gardening category of the blog.

What am I planning to plant? Here is my tentative list:

herbs
tomatoes...lots and lots of tomatoes (canning for the winter as with most of the veggies)
cucs
squash
zucc.
Corn
lettuce
spiniach
garlic
potatoes
peas
green beans
